This
photograph of Hudson VH-ASV appears in Warren Penny's photo album accompanied
by the caption "The Aurora Australis converted Hudson, ready
for test flight, Bankstown, NSW." Warren Penny's log book records
that he test flew the aeroplane from Bankstown to Mascot on 9 July 1947.
He also flew two test flights at Mascot on 9 and 10 July before departing
on its inaugural service later on 10 July. It is speculated that this
photo shows the departure from Bankstown on 9 July 1947.
