Lockheed Super Constellation VH-EAK Southern Mist arriving at Nadi, Fiji on 12 August 1955. The photographer, Dr Andrew Harker and his wife Thea travelled back to Sydney on this aircraft after Mrs Harker won the trip as a prize on The Jack Davey Hour radio show. During the war, Dr Harker was the chief medical officer at the RAAF/RAF base at Waddington, UK with No 467 Squadron RAAF and No 617 Squadron RAF. During his earlier years in the RAAF he was taught to fly by Alan Furze who, coincidentally, was the Captain of VH-EAK when it brought the couple to Fiji on 2 August.
