XH481 of 617 Squadron arriving at Richmond on 21 June 1961 having flown
non-stop (with aerial
refuelling) from RAF Scampton, Lincolnshire.
It was the first ever non-stop flight from the UK to Australia. In the
background are three P2V-5 Neptunes all in Mark 4 configuration having
been converted in November-December 1959. The Neptunes are (front to
