Kingsford-Smith after record span. Oakland, Cal.---Thousands mass around
the 'Lady Southern Cross" at Oakland, Airport, after it swooped to a
landing at the end of its record flight from Brisbane, Australia. Sir
Charles Kingsford-Smith and navigator Capt. P. G. Taylor, are shown
climbing down from the wings. They made the last 2,400 miles from Honolulu
in the exceptionally fast time of 15 hours. Flown by UAL (E-11-5-34)-10"
